SJC Recruitment are assisting a Company that provides infrastructure maintenance to the public sector, utilities industry and other large Organisations, with current revenues in excess of £1.2 billion and over 10,000 employees over 150 National locations.
Our Client are part way through a major refurbishment programme and renewal of their network throughout London. As part of this programme there is a requirement to upgrade and reinforce the HV AC and DC Traction power systems including civils works, design and construction/refurbishment of traction substations.
Overall design responsibility for the civil works element on turnkey projects within the utility industry.
A hands-on design based role with a degree of team leadership within discipline. Being responsible for delivering a package of work within a project within their discipline. Frequent liaison with other disciplines in the design team and the client would be expected.
Check design calculations of designers and other engineers within the team
Should possess a degree in civil engineering and preferred to be chartered or approaching chartered.
Experience in cost estimating would be advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure and to be able to work to dead lines.
Ability to produce conceptual designs, followed by detail design.
Able to manage Cad Technicians
