PR & Communications Manager – Financial Services - BATH £35k
Excellent role for experienced comms manager to develop and maintain strong external and internal communications and support the national communications strategy.
The role includes
· Increase awareness and understanding of our work among external audiences.
Support the Business Development Director, building the brand so that it becomes known as a major player
Cultivate strong relationships with the regional/local media.
Develop relations with managers at regional level to generate new and innovative activities with local partners.
Facilitate the communication of key corporate messages within the company.
Ensure effective communications between regional offices and head office.
Effectively manage key communications channels including local publications, intranet/internet.
Other duties include
Developing a national communications strategy
Act as central resource of communications expertise and guidance.
Implement corporate internal and external communication policies, strategy and guidance,
Provide local brand management, quality control and co-ordination for all local communications e.g. publications (supplier & partner newsletters, e-news), regional emailings (letters, guidance), promotional materials (leaflets, posters, merchandise)
Local media relations including developing relationships, arranging interviews and visits and developing proactive strategies to achieve positive media coverage.
Experience required:
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging style.
Experience of marketing.
Experience of effective media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists, researching stories, identifying media angles and writing press releases.
Knowledge of local press
Speech writing and preparing presentations.
Experience of internal communications including communication of key corporate messages in a relevant and engaging style for local employees.
Experience of managing the production of printed material, including brochures, leaflets, briefing third party designers/printers to ensure corporate brand and style is met.
The role would ideally suit professionals from the financial service/Wealth Management/Investments sector.
