On line media company require an experienced Development Team Leader. Responsiblities include; Working with a small (but rapidly growing) startup team to enhance, improve and grow our family of websites. As a team leader, you will be working both independently and with cross-functional groups through the entire development cycle - from design through implementation. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining applications that must integrate well with the assets developed by designers and architects. Additional responsibilities will include mentoring and training Jr. Developers, writing technical specifications, requirements docs and troubleshooting existing code b
• Perl and PHP in a commercial environment
• Configuring and administering Linux/BSD/Unix systems
• Administering Apache based web servers
• HTML/CSS
• 2-3 years experience leading a commercial web development team
• Experience with MySQL database design and administration
• Experience coding with high traffic, data-intensive websites
• Experience using and managing CVS or Subversion
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS, cross-browser compatibility and web standards
• Proficiency in Javascript
• Proficiency in AJAX interfaces
• Proficiency with XML/XSLT
General qualifications required
• Agency or Software Development House experience.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Self-starting.
• Security conscious.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience developing custom modules for Drupal 5.x
• Experience administering Windows 2003 Server, IIS and SQL Server 2005
• Experience implementing SEO strategies and techniques.
• Proficiency in Action Script
• Proficiency in Java
