Purchase Ledger Assistant
A successful candidate for the position of Purchase Ledger Assistant will assist the Purchase Ledger Controller in the day to day running of the department and have responsibilities in the following areas
• Invoices – Purchase Orders / Delivery Notes / posting to SAGE / Resale Details
• Cheque Run
• Statements
• Supplier Correspondence by letter, telephone or email
• Filing
• Credit Card - Statements – Photocopy / meet Deadlines / Analyse Nominal & Department / end reports / post to SAGE
• Mobile Telephone – Statements – Photocopy / meet Deadlines / Analyse / post to SAGE
• Weekly Figures
• Vehicles / Insurance
• Other Ad Hoc duties
• General Telephone Duties – with a basic understanding of each In House Department
• Refunds / Returns / Journals / Contras etc
The ideal candidate will need excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, an excellent telephone manner and a pleasant personality. The candidate will need also good keyboard skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAGE Accountancy system and accountancy is preferred but not essential.
