Our client in Swindon is seeking a Company Accountant. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual capable of working as a key member of a very small team, helping the company to grow in size and reputation through commitment to putting the customer first and getting the job done. The role will require flexibility, combining the main task of Accounts Management with that of Personnel Management as the company expands in the next 6-12 months. Therefore experience of Personnel Management for future development would be an advantage. Additionally experience of a small company environment and/or the automotive industry would be beneficial. Full PC literacy on MS Office 2003 and experience of Sage L50 FC 2008. The right candidate will find this an exciting role and will have the desire to make it their own. They will have the ability to develop the role to suit ever changing business requirements. Also an ability to speak Japanese would be an advantage. You will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions within the company including purchase ledger, credit control, journal transactions and payroll processing. You will be managing month end including providing monthly financial reports including sales, P&L and stock to UK director and Japan. You will also be responsible for financial year ends and external audits from PWC, completion of all HM Revenue and Customs requirements including VAT Returns, Intrastat Declarations and EC Sales lists and compile all information for Corporation Tax to PWC and calculate quarterly payments in line with HM Revenue and Customs deadlines.
