WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER
£20 - £23,000 per annum
Job purpose:
•To co-ordinate the receipt and despatch of materials and parts to and
from the site in accordance with agreed procedures
•To lead the team of warehouse assistants, monitoring their performance
and allocating their work to ensure that daily commitments are achieved
•To implement improved working practices in the warehouse areas
Main responsibilities:
1. Booking in of all deliveries in a timely and correct manner
2. Updating and maintaining accurate raw material and finished goods stock
records
3. Maintaining the physical location of stock in the raw material and finished
goods warehouse in accordance with housekeeping and Health and
Safety requirements
4. Issuing of raw material stock to production in accordance with
requirements
5. Liaising with customer services staff on a daily basis to ensure that
customer despatch requirements are met
6. Ensuring the accuracy of order picking activity and that all goods are
packed in an appropriate manner prior to despatch
7. Ensuring that the correct paperwork accompanies all customer
despatches
Main attributes required:
•Forklift truck licence (reach)
•Experience of computerised stock control and a warehouse environment
•Leadership qualities
•Driving, energetic with a sense of urgency
•Works well under pressure and to deadlines
•Good with detail
•Well organised and logical
•Ability to priortise workload for self and others
