A dynamic retail & mail order company, part of a larger Group based in the South West, requires a senior manager to join its team as Head of Buying and Merchandising.
With 17 stores nationally and sales booming online, the company leads its field in a highly fractured market. In order to grow the group aggressively and consolidate its leading position over the next 5 years, the business requires a strong Head of Buying and Merchandising, preferably with online experience, to achieve its goals.
The successful applicant will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and responsible for a team of experienced apparel and footwear buyers and merchandisers. Their role will be to lead the team, manage the buying and merchandising process, ensuring the business has the right levels of stock to meet forecast demand and that it achieves its sales, margin and stock objectives in both retail stores and online.
Inevitably in this fast moving business, management involvement is required at all levels, strategic, marketing and operations. Your ability to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness and a high work rate, together with a results driven approach , is essential to succeed, in this challenging but hugely rewarding role.
