- To invoice a fee income from your work as set out in your Financial Performance Target and to contribute to the Team's annual fee income Target.
- To record the number of chargeable units each week as set out in your Financial Performance Target
- To conduct a full caseload of files as directed by your Team Manager
- To achieve an average settlement time as set out in your Financial Performance Target
- To achieve settlement targets as discussed
- To conduct your caseload in an efficient, prompt and responsible manner, striving to achieve the standards of client care set out in the Introduction Section of the Office Manual and referring any problems and complaints
- Any problems should be referred to your Team Manager. Any complaints should be handled in accordance with the Complaints Section of the Office Manual
- Any circumstances which might give rise to a negligence claim against the firm should be referred to your Team Manager in accordance with the Risk Management and Negligence Claims Section of the Office Manual to ensure compliance with the firms reporting requirements to its professional indemnity insurers
- To operate the firms office and client accounts in accordance with the Accounting and Billing Procedures section of the Office Manual, using the forms and procedures set out in that section, including time recording of your work
- To act at all times in the clients best interests remaining independent and free from external pressure, keeping client matters confidential and following the procedures set out
- To produce documents yourself using the firms networked PC system and Case Management system. Also, to follow the Post and Fax Protocol as set out in the Office Manual and to strive to ensure that case correspondence is dealt with within 48 hours
- To follow the Telephone Protocol as set out in the Office Manual, striving to ensure that client calls received before 4pm are returned on the same day and endeavouring to ensure that during office hours either you or someone else within your team with knowledge of the client's file, is available to take client calls
- To ensure that your presentation and appearance are suitable for a solicitor’s office and use your best endeavours to ensure that clients and other visitors are seen at the appointed time and without being kept waiting
- To assist with the marketing of your Team and of the firm
- To attend Team Meetings as requested by your Team Manager
- To identify and meet your job related training and development needs
