My client specialises in handling Probates for families/executors and who wants an alternative to using Solicitors.
You will need to have experience and understanding of Probate and/or case management experience in a previous role.
We are looking to recruit a Probate Case manager to be responsible for Probate administration including:
• Potential clients - updating file. referring on. new client files
• Database entry - updating, limitation dates for renewal, status reporting inc updating standards, initiating new letters)
• Scheduling documents
• Letters to banks, buildings societies, utilities, etc requesting withdrawal forms and notification of monies in accounts (chasing weekly)
• Estate accounts - updating database with cash transactions
• Paying debts and fees due
• Collecting monies in and transferring to client account
• Invoicing clients
• Distribution of monies, gaining receipts
• Producing final estate accounts
• Reconciliation of CMS to Lawbase (banking)
• Processing transfer of assets to surviving spouse managing property – liaising with 3rd parties including estate agents and solicitors. Negotiating offers with clients
• Archiving documents/files
Your role would include responsibility for:
Communication
• Internal - meetings, directors, keeping everyone informed of progress
• External - routing calls, message taking, client and referrer handling and other contacts. Main point of contact for client, dealing with any queries they have.
• Filing system - devising, maintaining and informing
We are looking for someone ideally with a background in Probate. You should be able to deal with a probate case from beginning to end although support will be given from our legal and tax departments where necessary. You should be able to work using your own initiative and be able to work well under pressure. You will need to manage your own caseload and therefore it is essential that you are well organised. Good communication skills are also required.
