Webmaster – Corporate Marketing
Our client in Swindon is currently seeking a Webmaster. You will
Assume total ownership for the company’s multiple websites, intranet and extranet. Maintain compelling and effective websites to satisfy both prospects and existing customers and own creation of electronic marketing collaterals for lead generation and brand awareness campaigns,
Key Tasks:
- Work closely with VP Marketing to ensure Centennial’s websites remain current,
- compelling and visually attractive to target audiences
- Focus on ‘organic marketing’ such as Search Engine Optimization, page ranking,
- reciprocal links etc
- Provide accurate and insightful metrics and commentary on web site performance
- and ways to continually improve conversion ratios
- Assist field marketing teams in design and delivery of electronic marketing
- campaigns, ranging from simple email shots to dedicated microsites
- Improve Centennial’s international visibility through creation of local content and
- strategy for multi-language sites
- Administer Linux web servers
Skills Required:
The successful candidate will be proficient in the following technical skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience with LAMP stack –
- Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl
- Linux/Unix server administration and security
- Strong Javascript/Ajax
- Strong XHTML, CSS (hand coding)
- Strong Flash and ActionScript
- PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Strong design and layout skills
- Understand web usability and accessibility standards
- Should be familiar with architecture and customization of various LAMP based CMS systems (Drupal, Wordpress)
- Thorough understanding of Search Engine Optimization techniques
- Experience in corporate blogging and social media
