The SEO executive will predominantly be the office based SEO expert, but will be
required to attend Client meetings whenever Account Managers require technical
support.

discussions that Account Managers do not have the knowledge to cover.
? Develop an in-depth knowledge of search engine optimistation. Monitor the latest news
in the industry, evaluate the latest theories, make recommendations on those areas that
need to be discussed with Clients. This will involve helping with the development of
approaches to new areas such as RSS feeds, Blogs, SEO PR etc.
? Have an understanding of the technical components of a site. Have a general
understanding of the different way pages can be coded, meta data is used, sites can be
hosted etc and the subsequent implications for SEO.
? Understand the importance of keywords and content production. Be willing to produce
some copy and also work with copy writers to produce SEO pages for Clients.
? Develop our link building programme so that we efficiently and effectively generate
inbound links to our Clients? websites.
? Develop the area of SEO as a whole and ensure that we stay ahead of the competition
with our solutions and approach.
? Work closely with the rest of the team to help with any other areas: including any
support required in creative, design, build and use of internal tools such as content
management systems, email broadcast systems and database analytics.
? Work closely with the UNITE search team to ensure that SEO activity works in
conjunction with PPC activity. The search strategy and keyword analysis should be done
between the two teams.
? Become an expert in our web analytics tool (UNITE traffic) and manage the related
supplier relationship. This will include ensuring that reports are run weekly for Clients
and that insights are taken from the findings.
? Use our positional monitoring software to keep track of Client search engine positions.
