Our client in Chippenham is seeking an IT Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing subsidiary of a large publicly quoted US company selling surplus material on behalf of clients.
The post-holder will be part of the IT/WEB support team based in Chippenham, Wiltshire and will be primarily responsible for supporting the IT/WEB Manager with the development, maintenance and improvements of the LSL website. He/she will also be expected to support the UK and German Sales and Administrative Teams with system based IT problems using our bespoke reporting system (the Request Tracker tool). This will require communicating with the Company Technical Support Team who are based in the US.
They will also assist, where required, with other tasks as directed by the IT/WEB Manager.
The ideal candidate will have an IT/WEB based qualification and have a good understanding of HTML, Javascript and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
They should also have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Access and Powerpoint.
They will be self-motivated and articulate, and must be able to work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative. They must also have a basic understanding of the principles of Project Management and be able to effectively communicate by phone, email and IM.
