Business Analyst role:
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm
Holiday: 28 days including Bank Holidays.
Key Tasks include:-
Infrastructure and Systems Interface:
Work with other systems and infrastructure providers to address networking, programming, hardware and software issues.
Accept, assess, prioritize, record and facilitate resolution of IT Support problems.
Act as Systems Administrator for mail order, fulfillment and data manipulation (marketing) systems (MS SQL server platform).
Build and maintain the reports.
Become the company data expert in relationship to CRM, extracting customer data for direct marketing campaigns and implementing tools to evaluate marketing campaigns.
Create and run SQL queries from database.
Change Management:
Work closely with users to identify business, department and individual change needs.
Conduct internal feasibility studies to assess effort, time, costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution.
Document functional requirements - describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business requirement
Design and/or review test cases
Manage the implementation of the chosen solution, tracking and progressing requirements
Train users to employ changed systems correctly and to best effect.
Person Specification:
A broad understanding of business and information technology, including data networks and database management.
An understanding of the limitations of technology in relation to some business processes
Some knowledge of the Customer Service, Web ordering process and Logistics arenas to ensure efficient requirements gathering.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to assemble, analyse and evaluate data to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support business stakeholders.
A persuasive and patient manner to deal with stakeholders who lack high level IT understanding.
Ability to conceptualise and think creatively.
