This well established organisation in Swindon Town Centre are looking for a 1st/2nd Line Support Technician.
You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day technical support required for the staff based in the UK. You will be providing technical support for the continued use of the company's systems and services.
You must have previous experience in a desktop support environment and possess working knowledge of the company’s standard software packages, Windows XP, Office 2003, etc. CITRIX is desirable, but not essential.
Your key objectives and duties will include:
· The provision of daily technical support directly related to hardware/software incidents logged through the Help Desk system.
· Assisting in any projects/tasks involving supported hardware and software.
· Resolving incidents as recorded on the Help Desk system.
· Assisting in the logging of incidents/upgrade calls on the Help Desk system.
· Installation of software including the recording of licence information on corporate inventory system.
· Receipt and installation of new equipment including any subsequent inventory action.
· Disposal of redundant IT equipment.
· Maintenance of hardware.
· Cable and patch management.
· Provide support and assistance for telecoms equipment used by company (hardware support only) excluding office moves.
You will be required to work 9.00-5.00 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
