Learning & Development Advisor in Trowbridge

Our client is looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive training and employee development service to the organisation.

Brief description of responsibilities:

  • Design, delivery and evaluation of Annual Training Plan which includes training & development interventions and programmes
  • Maintain Investors in People accreditation
  • Contract and negotiate with external training providers
  • Financial monitoring, management and reporting of training budget
  • Training administration.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD Graduate or currently undertaking programme - essential
  • Certificate in Training Practice OR equivalent experience - essential
  • Advanced Diploma in Learning and Development - desirable
  • Coaching qualification - desirable.
     

Experience:

It is essential that you have had experience carrying out the following:

  • Carrying out training needs analysis and designing an organisational training plan
  • Designing and delivering bespoke training sessions
  • Training evaluation and ROI analysis of training interventions
  • Applying employment legislation and good practice in L&D
  • Implementation of IS systems
  • Gaining and maintaining IiP accreditation.

Skills, Abilities and Attitude:

  • Flexible and able to prioritise work
  • Methodical, detail conscious and good organisational skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to communicate on all levels with a variety of media
  • Professional and able to work within conflict situations
  • Willing to work outside of head office and travel to remote sites
  • Willing to attend evening meetings when required
  • Committed to Equality and Diversity
  • Ability to use initiative and work under minimum supervision
  • Ability to create development plans for individual performance improvement
  • Ability to write and develop L&D policies and procedures.
