Claims Manager
Job Description
To oversee the day to day workflow to their team and handle the contentious claims in the unit. To be accountable for the operation of workflow and quality of service. To ensure that there is adequate resource to complete the roles within the team. To represent the team at management meetings.
Key Objectives
To complete the daily allocation of diary & post
To manage the contentious claims within the team.
To assist all members of their team with their queries.
To ensure that the day to day workflow is reviewed, actioned, prioritised and allocated.
To collate workflow information and devise a resolution
To assist the Associate Director with client servicing.
General Duties & Tasks
To review all the incoming post and prioritise before allocating.
To check the team's outstanding tasks and priority rate them.
To action the contentious claims.
To have audience with the team members and proffer a solution for their queries.
To audit and review a selection of claim files actioned by the team then report accordingly
To provide weekly workflow information of work status to the Associate Director.
To assist the Associate Director with regard to the overall delivery of service to clients and other external parties.
Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role

Essential
A wealth of experience in Claims Handling, to include experience of Personal Injury Claims
Team player with good Communication Skills
Flexibility
Desirable
Previous management experience preferable but not essential
