Project Manager/Commercial Manager - Warmley - £35k pa

Basic Function
To actively manage an existing successful diesel generator project management, installation and commissioning team. To take full responsibility for the management of all projects from handover to final payment.

Scope of work
The scope of this role is defined as:
- Working with the head of sales
Improve levels of customer service
Improve departmental processes
Monitor project margin and manage processes to secure imporvements
Improve efficiency and performance of the installation team
Enhance the departmental scope of offering (electrical)
- With the team
Assist sales team with project costing
Accept and sign off project files as prepared by the sales team and take responsibility for the execution of the project either by self or through the team
Oversee the placing supplier orders
Liaising with customers
Completing site surveys as required
Compile and issue health and safety packs
Complete and issue risk assessments and method statements
Track & record client variations
Control all project costs in line with sales estimate
Complete work instructions for installation and commissioning teams
Complete pre and post project reviews and audits
Weekly report to Head of Sales

Principal Accountabilities
To ensure that the sales made by the company are made a reality for the customer. This is to be undertaken in such a way that all stakeholders in the venture are fully satisfied.

Knowledge/Educational Requirements/Experience
The successful candidate will have...
A strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to think laterally
A proven commercial capability in a fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and develop good relationships, with previous experience in a customer facing commercial project management role is essential
A working knowledge of construction industry contract law, previous team management and budget control are essential
Good customer handling skills are essential along with a sound commercial perspective
A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering (HND/HNC)
A good level of IT skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office suite
An ability to use Microsoft Project and Auto CAD are preferred
Had exposure to and an undertanding of ISO 9000

Salary in the range of £35k pa
Bonus in the range of £5k paid quarterly
