Your responsibilities
The Commercial Manager is a new, important, role within the company. Your responsibilities will be challenging and wide ranging, as follows.
- You will be involved in, and manage, certain commercial and strategic relationships.
- You will be our key contact at events, training days and shows, representing and ‘selling’ the company
- You will manage our marketing, subscription process and customer support, across all our businesses.
- You will also manage a small team, with all the associated responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be part of the management team and will report to the Managing Director.
The person we are looking for will have a rare balance of skills. On the one hand, they will probably have experience of ‘front facing’ marketing at some level, have the ability to be articulate, passionate and persuasive about our business, and understand the commercial environment.
However, this is not a classic ‘sales’ role. We also need someone who understands their market, is thoughtful, empathetic and encouraging. As this is a new position, we need someone who will be creative in carving out their role and will not be afraid to suggest new ideas.
The company is in a fast-paced industry and their business, and therefore their employees’ responsibilities, will change and develop. The role of Commercial Manager will be a key role in our organisation, stuffed with varied challenges, The right person must be able to embrace their ever-growing ‘To Do’ lists!
